Nanotechnology is perceived as one of the key 21st century technologies, major economic and technological driver in the next years.
nanoDialog aims to educate society about potential risks and benefits created by use of technologies. Our goal is to ensure that as these new technologies emerge, potential risks and problems are anticipated, understood and effectively addressed. We focus on ethical, legal and societal aspects related to the use of nanotechnologies (ELSA) as well as their effect on human health and environment. We do not seek to advocate either for, or against, particular nanotechnologies. Rather, our goal is to disseminate knowledge and reach a diverse public audience in order to create an active public dialogue. We hope to generate an ongoing debate regarding these issues and invite all concerned individuals, including academics, lawyers, scientists, policymakers as well as all interested laypersons to the discussion.
We are currently in the process of rebuilding our website. Therefore all articles are temporarily grouped together.
